Filled with paralaxing, animated gifs, and looping video the 2014 Burton.com Spring/Summer website was one of the funnest and most creative projects I have been able to work on since joining the web team here at Burton. The redesign used the latest in web trends to build an interesting and unique e-commerce experience that engaged users right at first glance. I was able to have a heavy role in the art direction of this project from the beginning, originally working with rough comps to develop a sort of loose grid that allowed for plenty of flexibility in our layouts. In addition to the page layout I also created a series of Icons which were used in both print and web as well as Art Directing the youth photoshoot that took place at Talent Skatepark in Burlington, VT.
The 2014 Burton Spring/Summer website was created in collaboration with Julie Toth - Sr. Designer, Daniel Munzing - Supporting Designer, Dan Harrill - Lead Print Designer, David Pfluger - Art Director, Patrick Lennox Wright - Photographer and Evan Rose - Creative Director.
